SXSW EDU 9 to 12 March 2026. SXSW main 12 to 18 March 2026, with 12 March as Crossover Day. The Austin Convention Center is closed through about 2028, so SXSW runs a citywide campus: Innovation at Brazos Hall, Film and TV at 800 Congress, Music at The Downright, plus Hilton Austin, JW Marriott Austin, Omni Austin, Fairmont Austin, and Austin Marriott Downtown. April and May

Practical notes for Austin days
- Summer heat changes call times, kit, and how long people can stand outside.
- SXSW week, ACL Fest week, and F1 week crowd hotels, load-ins, and downtown streets. Build time and a backup door.
- Hotel ballrooms are the usual conference rooms while the Convention Center is closed. Send the room name Banquets uses. See Fairmont, JW Marriott, and Hilton service pages. W Austin and Four Seasons sit on the hotel meetings hub.
- Parks, some venues, and city property can need permits. Ask early. Do not assume a handheld camera is enough paperwork.
- Downtown and the airport corridor are often no-fly or restricted. Aerial is planned, not guessed. Circuit airspace during COTA weekends is not assumed.
