SXSW EDU ran 9 to 12 March 2026. SXSW main ran 12 to 18 March 2026. 12 March is Crossover Day. The Convention Center is closed through about 2028. The 2026 campus included Innovation at Brazos Hall, Film and TV at 800 Congress, Music at The Downright, plus Hilton Austin, JW Marriott Austin, Omni Austin, Fairmont Austin, and Austin Marriott Downtown.
What the week actually looks like
Closed streets, full hotels, and load-ins that slip. Name the venue, the door, the run of show, and the cuts. Festival recaps default to a muted picture and a licensed library score unless you license the PA music. Who usually pays: a brand, agency, organizer, sponsor, hotel F&B team, or VIP host.
