Rakuten Advertising held DealMaker USA 2022 at Omni Barton Creek in Austin from June 27 through June 29, 2022. The company's recap called it the first in-person DealMaker in two years, and the first time the program ran as a three-day Austin conference after combining the older New York and Scottsdale dates.

The published theme was doing business shouldn't be this much fun. Rakuten wrote that nearly 800 advertisers, publishers, and agencies came to the resort, and that attendees scheduled more than 1,000 one-on-one meetings in the Pathable app across those three days.

This conference film covers the program as it happened: rooms, stage, and the pace of a working day. The cut opens on the resort from the air, then moves into general-session light, seated attendees, and the hallway traffic between blocks.

Rakuten's recap also named DealSpace, a partner showcase with more than 25 companies on site. The 19th annual Golden Link Awards ran in Austin on June 27, 2022, hosted by comedian Atsuko Okatsuka. The film stays with the conference floor and the resort.
