Follow The Star 2022 ran December 1 through 3 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 West Whitestone Boulevard, Cedar Park. Pastor Steven Headley and producer Renee Meredith told KXAN Studio 512 that year was the 11th annual production, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. each night.
They described a live outdoor walk-through and drive-through of ten scenes from the life of Christ, more than 300 cast and crew, professional lighting and sound, and animals on the path. There is no ticket. Guests are asked to bring food or a gift for Hill Country Community Ministries.
Meredith told Studio 512 that over the first ten years the program had collected more than 30 tons of food and about $41,000 for that pantry. This film is the 2022 highlight from those three nights.
Who Hired The Camera
The church hires a year-dated cut so each December can travel on its own. The 2022 hire was the shorter program highlight from the 11th annual nights.
