Follow The Star is the outdoor walk-through and drive-through production at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 West Whitestone Boulevard, Cedar Park. Hill Country Community Ministries listed the 2025 dates as December 4 through 6. Beyond the Nest posted the same weekend, 6:30 to 9 p.m., with no admission fee and a request for non-perishable goods for the HCCM pantry.
The church's own page names ten live scenes: Annunciation, Nativity, Triumphal Entry, Last Supper, Betrayal, Pontius Pilate, Crucifixion, Resurrection, Ascension, and a Christmas Present scene of a modern family reading Luke. The About page says more than 300 cast and crew bring the night up, with professional lighting, audio, costumes, and a giant spotlight in the sky.

Who Hired The Camera
Churches hire a program film when a volunteer night has to exist after the last car leaves the lot. Good Shepherd designed Follow The Star as a gift to the community, in the church's words, to tell the rest of the story beyond the manger.
Pastor Steven Headley is quoted on the About page: people need to know the rest of the story. This production is our gift to the community.

The color cut opens from the air on a hard vertical searchlight over the Cedar Park campus. Later an angel in white wings holds a sword against the dark trees. A warm-graded scene sits on palm fronds and a woven basket as the triumphal entry moves through a stone-and-wood set.
Late in the file three crosses stand under a white spot and red side light, INRI on the center beam. The stills are frames from that 2025 color file.
What The Film Delivers
A drive-through program needs a recap that can travel with next year's invitation and with the food-drive thank-you. The church's About page said more than 89,000 people had come over thirteen years, with 48,835 pounds of food and just over $56,229.53 in gifts for local pantries.
HCCM wrote that in 2024 it provided food to more than 3,000 families a month, and that Follow The Star is its largest donation of the year.
