Foster Village

Foster Village builds a village of support for children in the Austin-area foster system and their caregivers. The Austin location launched in 2016. The organization's own site lists a South house at 15400 Fitzhugh Road, Dripping Springs, and a North site at 10545 Dessau Road, Austin.

Foster Village writes that in 2017, after Hurricane Harvey, the community's response showed why the group needed a permanent home. That year they found the little yellow house in Dripping Springs now called Oak Haven. Later public notes treat Oak Haven as the play, connection, and family-support base.

These films are gala testimonials and the work those nights raise money for. One still looks down a suburban sidewalk: a teenager in a green shirt carries a blue-and-yellow box of Luvs Size 3 diapers, a woman carries white bags, a small child holds a hanger of clothes, and a brick house sits at the end of the walk. Speakers sit in later holds. Nonprofits hire that mix when a donate page needs voices and a picture of goods arriving.

Foster Village asked for talking-head films a gala and a thank-you page can hold. The extra player on this work page is an August update. The magazine stills come from the gala testimonial cut.

The brief was Central Texas foster support as families receive it: a porch delivery, then a person who can say why the village matters.
