Summit Film
Talent Brand Summit 2019 In Austin. Lawn Games, A Pavilion, And Employer-Brand People In The Room.
Film by Adam Grumbo
Talent Brand Alliance is a community for employer-brand, recruitment-marketing, and employee-communications people. LinkedIn places the group in Austin, founded in 2012. Co-founders Bryan Chaney and Will Staney built the Talent Brand Summit as an intimate gathering with no vendor booths and no speaker track. Facilitators run round tables. Record keepers take notes for the room.
The first summit, June 13 and 14, 2018, at Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop, drew about 75 practitioners. Holland McCue's Alliance recap called it part education, part community. A speaker shirt in this cut reads TBSummit, Austin, 2019. That is the date this short promo holds.
The longer Talent Brand Alliance program film is a different cut from the first year. This page is the 2019 short promo.
We came, we shared, and we left no margarita unturned.
Who Hired The Camera
HR and brand teams hire a short summit film when the invite for next year has to show the lawn and the room, not a slide from a vendor track.
On February 4, 2019, Chaney posted that in 50 days, 100 of the world's talent-brand leaders would gather in Austin to learn, build connections, and throw some stuff. An Alliance recap of the 2019 summit put that year back at Lost Pines: a two-day workshop with round tables, fire-pit talk, s'mores, and tomahawk throwing. The writer called the resort a Texas escape on 80 miles of trees, with a lazy river.

The Lawn, Then The Purple Room
The open is an aerial of a green field, a wooden pavilion, and cornhole on the grass, with the Talent Brand Summit mark over the frame. People gather under the pavilion the way an un-conference gathers between sessions.
Inside, a bearded speaker in glasses and a charcoal blazer talks on a purple-lit stage, a lav clipped to the TBSummit shirt. Later Alliance notes for 2020 capped Austin tickets around 100 and said the event sold out each year. The stills stay with this 2019 file: the lawn, the pavilion, and the purple room.
What The Film Delivers
A short summit cut has to travel after the last roundtable. Planners use it for the recap and for the next invitation.
